Last weeks record 6-7-1. Season record 13-14-1.
Packers @ Vikings
As long as the Packers have Aaron Rodgers, they can easily beat inferior opponents. Kirk Cousins is having a very Kirk Cousins-like season, putting up good stats but still losing close games. They finally showed up in the 4th quarter of a game allowing them to win their 4th game of the season. But the Chargers aren’t the Packers, and the Packers don’t normally have to play catch-up. Minnesota loses a close one at home. How much longer does Mike Zimmer last?
Packers 27 Vikings 21
Colts @ Bills
Buffalo faces its first real team in three weeks. New England is right on their heels at 7-4 after a dominant win Thursday over Atlanta. they cant afford to lose any games. If they can beat the Colts they keep the lead in the division. Buffalo is the better team in almost every position. Indy was lucky to beat Jacksonville last week. Who knows how they’ll play this week. I’ll take the home team.
Bills 30 Colts 20
Saints @ Eagles
Alvin Kamara has been ruled out with a knee injury, missing his second game in a row. New Orleans goes into Philly without its best offensive playmaker. The Eagles are trying to prove they are a legit team with Jalen Hurts playing surprisingly well these last few games. I predict Hurts will throw for over 300 yards and 3 passing TDs and a rushing TD. The Saints offense wont be able to keep up with Philly and they fail to seize the opportunity to take the lead in their division.
Eagles 38 Saints 17
Ravens @ Bears
The best way to stop the Ravens offense is by getting pressure on the QB. The Bears are known for defense but they’ll be without Khalil Mack, Akiem Hicks, Danny Trevathan and possibly Eddie Jackson, who is questionable. Four of their top five defensive players are out. Lamar Jackson will have a day, picking apart this defense through the air and on the ground. This game could be over by halftime.
Ravens 35 Bears 21
Football Team @ Panthers
Cam Newton has been announced as the starter for Carolina. Superman is back and his first start is against his former HC, Ron Rivera. It’ll be an emotional day for Panthers fans as their is much love for both men. But if anyone knows Superman’s Kryptonite, its Riverboat Ron. Newton will have some growing pains in his first start as Washington’s defense keeps the game close. I bet it’ll come down to a 4th and 1 and the Panthers will need to convert to keep the game alive, but Washington will stop Newton short of the line. That seems so much like a Panthers way to lose.
Football Team 26 Panthers 21
Texans @ Titans
There is no way the Titans should lose this game. Henry or no Henry.
Titans 33 Texans 17
Lions @ Browns
The Browns have a laundry list of players playing through injuries, namely Baker Mayfield. The man should really rest up and try to be back for the playoffs. That is, if you can make it. But the Browns JV squad is most likely better than the Lions starting squad. Oh, and Nick Chubb is making his return to the field after missing the last several weeks. I pity the Lions, but at least you wont go 0-17.
Browns 28 Lions 13
49ers @ Jaguars
The 49ers are coming of a win last week that may have saved their season, and quite possibly Shanahan’s job. At least for the time being. The Jags have shown they can fight, but they only seem to fight for half of a game. They have yet to look like an NFL team for 60 minutes this year. I don’t think that changes this week.
49ers 24 Jaguars 14
Dolphins @ Jets
Two bad teams. Two bad quarterbacks. The Dolphins will start Tua with a bad finger and the Jets will start… Joe Flacco. JOE FLACCO. Does anyone remember the last time Joe Flacco was good at football? Probably 2014. I think I know which game will be featured in next weeks Chaos section in the Best and Worst of Week 11.
Dolphins 17 Jets 3
Bengals @ Raiders
Two teams who at one point were seen as best team in the AFC. Now they both sit at 5-4 with numerous question marks. Are they good? Are they bad? Both teams have the capability to compete with any team in their conference, but can either sustain their success? These teams are on the brink of either collapsing in on themselves or finally getting over the hump to become a constant contender. The ceiling for both these teams this year is probably a one-and-done wildcard spot. They aren’t quite ready to contend yet. But when it comes to this game, I gotta go with who has the home field advantage.
Raiders 23 Bengals 21
Cowboys @ Chiefs
This has the potential to be one of the best games of the season, just as long as Dallas actually shows up to play. The Cowboys have a great offense and a good defense. The Chiefs have an explosive offense, that seems to have a broken fuse, and a really bad defense. Mahomes will most likely throw a few ugly interceptions, probably to Trevon Diggs, but he will ultimately keep KC in this game. Dallas’ defense faces its toughest opponent this week, and I believe they will come through.
Cowboys 35 Chiefs 27
Cardinals @ Seahawks
Deandre Hopkins has already been ruled out and Murray is still a game-time decision. If Arizona is without their two best offensive weapons for the 3rd week in a row, they are in danger of losing the number one seed. They currently are sitting at the number two seed, behind Green Bay, and there is a line of teams waiting to jump them this week, should they stumble. Seattle, fresh off of a brutal loss to the Packers, will look to crush their rivals hopes. Even if Murray plays, he wont be 100%. The Seahawks get the upset this week.
Seahawks 26 Cardinals 17
Steelers @ Chargers
Big Ben is expected to return this week after missing last weeks game. Not that it will be that much of a boost to the offensive production but its still worth noting. The Chargers have had some tough losses this year, but if they want to get back into the playoff race, they need to step it up in the 4th quarter. Three of their four losses have been by 7 points or less. Herbert is going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL, he cant afford to make mistakes this week. Big Ben will be safe and serviceable throwing the ball. Herbert will have to ball out if he wants to win.
Chargers 28 Steelers 17
Giants @ Buccaneers
The Bucs have had a bad few weeks. Luckily, the football gods gave them an easy team to beat up on to let them get their confidence back. Meanwhile, the Giants look to be having one of those seasons again. You know, the season where there’s really nothing to look forward to other than the draft. They seem to have these seasons every other year. But hey, at least you’ll have two picks in the top ten this year, courtesy of the Bears.
