Money in the Bank 2022 Predictions

One of my favorite WWE PPVs has been the Money in the Bank match. In this match whoever wins gets a briefcase that is hanging in the ring. In the briefcase is a contract where wrestlers can choose to cash in anyplace and anytime. It is a great match concept and thus WWE decided to make the match into a PPV concept, which I myself was not a fan of.

I will only be predicting the matches that have been confirmed as of 7:13pm. I never watch the Pre Show and I don’t think there is a match scheduled for it. So I will be picking the matches that are on the main card.

Match #1 WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair vs Carmella

Not going long as the end result to this one is again predictable. I don’t see Belair loosing this title at Money in the Bank. I think it will be a solid match as Carmella is pretty good in the ring.

Prediction: Bianca Belair

Match #2 WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship – Ronda Rousey vs Natalya

Man I can’t imagine who is going to win this one, am I right. Do you really think WWE is going to have Ronda Rousey drop the Women’s title on a Money In the Bank PPV? Of course no. That is all I have to say about this one as I will take Rousey to win no question. I hate saying that as Natalya is a talented wrestler, but there is no chance she is winning.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey

Match #3 Women’s MITB – Alexa Bliss vs Auska vs Becky Lynch vs Lacey Evans vs Liv Morgan vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Shotzi

I will make this quick. Just give the Money in the Bank briefcase to Becky Lynch. We know you want to WWE. I don’t see Auska or Alexa Bliss winning again. Lacey Evans I have no clue where she will wrestle or what they have planned for her character. Liv Morgan and Shotzi have no chance winning this match. The only other one I can see winning is Raquel Rodriguez, but I think it is too early for her to win it. The only one that I see winning is Becky so she can have momentum in getting the championship again.

Prediction: Becky Lynch

Match #4 US Championship – Austin Theory vs Bobby Lashley

Ok lets get this out of the way, I will never call Austin Theory from his current ring name. I think it is dumb why WWE cut his name because they don’t want him using the same name that Stone Cold Steve Austin did. So yeah there is no way I am calling him Theory.

Anyways as regards to this match, I won’t go long. I see Austin Theory winning this match. I think the plan is for WWE to have John Cena feud with him at SummerSlam for the US Title. Especially as WWE is very high on him and wants to book him as a future star. If Bobby wins then I will be shocked.

Prediction: Austin Theory

Match #5 WWE Tag Team Championship – The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) vs Street profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

AGAIN!?!?!? I swear this has got to be the ten thousandth time I have seen these two tag teams battle each other. It is as repetitive as Brock Lesnar vs Roman Regins. I have little interest watching this match and it will probably be a bathroom break match for me. So, I will predict that The Usos will win every PPV match until Roman looses his title.

Match #6 Mens MITB – Drew McIntyre vs Madcap Moss vs Omos vs Riddle vs Sami Zayn vs Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs Sheamus

This is the only match that is the most unpredictable because everyone excluding Madcap Moss and Omos. I don’t see what WWE sees in Omos. Omos is tall and can be an attraction, but he has not impressed me in any match ever. I have not been a fan of Madcap Moss’s character or in ring work at all. Sheamus has been my favorite for many years, but I don’t think he needs to win the briefcase. I really would love to see Sami Zayn win the breifcase and cash in as he has been one of my favorites for many years. Even when he wrestled as El Generico in the indies. I just don’t think WWE sees him as that guy to win the championship.

Now we get to the three I see the most likely to win the match in either Drew McIntyre, Riddle, and Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. If I were to choose either of the three I would pick Riddle to win this match mainly due to storyline purposes. This could have many opportunities when Randy Orton is healthy and continue Riddle’s feud with Roman Reigns.

Prediction: Riddle
